A recreational destination offering access to the Columbia Wetlands via guided or unguided canoe, kayak or float boat rental in concert with high-end, personalised accommodation. Nestled between British Columbia’s Rocky and Purcell mountain ranges, the Columbia Wetlands are one of the worlds living treasures with hundreds of thousands of birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians and mammals. The wetlands sustain large concentrations of great blue Heron and migrating birds who depend on these wetlands to survive their long journeys. Songbirds, shorebirds, kokanee salmon, ling cod and trout also rely on this unique and rich ecosystem. Elk, deer, moose, wolf, cougar, coyote, river otter and grizzly bears are just some of the larger mammals that call this place home. TARGET MARKET: Visitors to Columbia Wetlands have, to date, come from a variety of different places • BC / Alberta based • Out of town – primarily from Europe • Visitors are of all ages > Core target is 25-50 age bracket, travelling with partners and children • Visitors come to the Golden area as a stop along the way within a longer road trip. They spend up to 3 days in and around the Golden area, and look for “things to do” whilst visiting, activities are therefore often spontaneous and can tend towards more “adrenalin rush” e.g. white water rafting, extreme mountain biking > Attitudinal Profile: Authentic Experiencers & Cultural Explorers The Columbia Wetlands Outpost offers the opportunity to connect with nature in a peaceful and serene setting but still with a sense of discovery and adventure. We want to develop Columbia Wetlands Outpost into being a destination on people’s vacation trips in B.C
FEELINGS TO CONVEY The joy in discovering the beauty, wonder and serenity of the Columbia Wetlands Imagine waking at dawn from a comfy bed in a Timber Tent to discover the sounds, smells, and sights of the Columbia Wetlands amidst it’s setting in the majestic surrounding valley STYLE: Organic Authentic Classic WHERE WILL THE LOGO BE USED ? -website -printed materials -signage -social media HOW THE LOGO WILL BE USED: The primary logo is for the parent brand, Columbia Wetlands Outpost. As there are several subsidiaries, the individual subsidiary names need to integrate seamlessly into the parent logo. The full names of the businesses are: Columbia Wetlands Outpost Adventures Columbia Wetlands Outpost Lodge Columbia Wetlands Outpost Timber Tents Columbia Wetlands Outpost Tepees Columbia Wetlands Outpost Red Barn Columbia Wetlands Outpost Paddle In casual usage, people may refer to the individual businesses as Columbia Wetlands Adventures, Wetlands Adventures, Columbia Adventures, Outpost Lodge, Outpost Red Barn etc… so those names should be registered in addition to the full name.
