Broken Rice is a modern vietnamese fast-casual restaurant (think Chipotle, Pei-Wei, Panera style of service) with a Californian sensibility. The restaurant will appeal to health conscious diners in an unpretentious way, and we will provide a fresh, inviting and playful atmosphere with modern touches and a youthful vibe. The menu will consist of Pho (vietnamese soup), Bahn Mi sandwiches, and a few rice entrées.
The target audience is "millennials" 18-35 year olds. Some brand words that might be helpful are Energetic (inviting, hip, engaging), Authentic (vibrant, bold, balanced, honest), Modern (creative, unique, approachable) & Crave-able (habitual, everyday).

Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
- Black, orange, green, gray/steel, wooden colors
- Feel free to go crazy and use whatever colors you would like, I just wanted to provide a few suggestions.
Let designers make suggestions:
Oranges: Creativity, adventure and happiness.
Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
I attached a few slides that will really help convey the concept. I attached a drawing of the actual inside of the restaurant so that you can get a feel for the style of the restaurant. It is very clean, contemporary, yet real and authentic (from the wood design). I also attached the Concept Story for you to read to get a feel for the vibe of the restaurant.
Please try to keep the logo design limited to the "Broken Rice" name and then a symbol, similar to my example logos I selected (pictured above). Nothing like "Vietnamese Restaurant" or "Fast-Casual" should be included in the design.
GOAL: It would be cool if we could have a logo that would incorporate two things:
1) the name "Broken Rice"
2) a symbol
The symbol would ideally be able to stand alone so people would be able to recognize it's our restaurant without "Broken Rice" having to be spelled out.
