Lisa.pasquale got their new infographic by running a design contest:
New consultancy service to save the planet

Story to tell in the infographic
- The Services is our approach to "Soft Landings" which is an established framework in our industry. - We'd like the infographic to be easily legible as an A3 printout, but still somewhat legible as an A4. We'd like to have the A3 as a downloadable "takeaway" on both our websites. - We'd like the infographic (minus any text) to be usable as a logo in itself (by turning detail text "off"), for use on smaller publications like brochures or web graphics which have more explanatory text, elsewhere. This is because whilst consultants (architects and engineers) are fairly visually literate, building owners and contractors often are not. So we need to be able to describe the service both graphically, and verbally, whilst still matching and maintaining the service brand image. - We'd like the infographic to somehow convey that the process and service is intended to reinforce and improve the quality and in-use performance of buildings, and/or reducing the risk of in-use Performance failure - The service we offer gives both technical feedback on the building performance (energy consumption, occupant comfort in terms of heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting qualify, construction quality etc.) as well as the social aspects (is it fit for purpose, do people like it, how well does it meet their needs for work, for living, for education, etc). - It’s important to highlight both the technical and human elements of performance in the graphic.
Data to include in the infographic
- We'd like the stages of work to match the corresponding RIBA stage colours (there are 8 RIBA stages each with their own colour - we've included RIBA's graphic). - see the PDF "SLs brief 99design.pdf" for the data that is required to be on the infographic.
Elements to include in the infographic
- Do NOT use building plans or overly stylised building graphics in the infographic - those will not be considered. Anything that is too suggestive of specific architectural styles limits our potential market. An acceptable "generic" building graphic is attached as an example. - Both our email addresses should be included as a footer, unless there is a way of having a "contact us" link, which automatically opens an email to both addresses. - We need both company logos (six cylinder and performance consultancy) on the final design - vector drawings can be supplied.
We work in multiple sectors (offices, public buildings, schools, housing, medical centres) and on both retrofit, new build, extensions, and prototype buildings.
