iPhone Game Artwork - soccer game I have made a simple game that is a side scrolling game. The player avatar sits on the right of the screen and soccer balls fly from right to left. The player has to control the avatar to jump up and head the soccer ball back towards a goal. The game only ends if the player misses the ball or the ball his the avatar not on the head. I require a couple of banners, back grounds, a player character and a logo. Below is a more specific list of exactly what is required currently, some additional pieces may be required to put some finishing touches on the game after these. Game Icon: -120x120 Icon for the game; Main Menu: -Background (will also be used for the about/credits screen), 1136x640; -Logo, "Head for Goal", a simple logo is all that is required; -Button, "Play", large easy to press button; -Highscore banner (an empty scoreboard or similar that will have the high score displayed within it); -Image of the player character (larger more detailed, not for ingame); In-Game (Before game starts): -background (multiple layers, front, mid, back, far, clouds, depth illusion), 1136x640; -Button: Ready, larger easy to press; -Player avatar: waiting pose (character waits for player to hit ready, static at first possible sprite later additional work) in game the avatar is 80x160 px; -Instructions overlay, inform the player how to play the game, 1136x640 (transparent overlay for the screen); will read: 1. The ball fly's from right to left. 2. Tap the screen to make the player jump, aim:head the ball 3. A goal is scored if the ball goes into the goal. In-Game (Playing): -Player avatar: jumping up, 80x160; -player avatar: falling down, 80x160; -ball (the world cup ball or a soccer ball with the patches), 60x60; -goal (side view of a soccer goal with a box net, example attached), ; -small collision graphic (a "poof" cloud or something), no bigger than the ball; -scoreboard: score heading to display the score under; In-Game (Game Over): -player avatar: game over (crying or sad), 80x160; -gameover banner; -button: quit; - a "NEW" overlay to put over the highscore display if the player has achieved a new highscore; I will attach some images to show the layout of the game screen. I am open to changes to these to fit the design but nothing crazy. I will post examples of each screen/state of the game to help give an idea of what I plan. I will attach examples of the style I am looking for as well because I am sure I will fail to describe it. Platform: iPhone Theme: Soccer Game Style: Cartoon, Thick outlines, warm colours. Player Avatar: The game is about heading so the avatar should have a head twice the size of the body (think chibi-ish). The player character will be based of the best Australian footballer in the world... Tim Cahill, I don't want it to be him but if it helps give you a look to aim for (google Tim Cahill, if you are unfamiliar with him). The avatar for the moment is static but there is possible additional work to animate it (sprite). The players outfit should match the Australian Soccer uniform... image attached I hope that is enough to get the ball rolling. I look forward to seeing where things go.
The game is to be simple, minimalist to allow for the player to easily play and quickly interact with the game. Big Buttons, large clear font, etc. Australia's team colours are gold and green. The game is 2D, think platform game (Mario on SNES for example). Except if possible I would like some depth illusion into the back ground... See image.jpg The ball, player and goal are at the front and only move in 2D. If possible the background can elude to depth but it's not a part of the game. I have loaded an image from another game as an example of the cartoon look, thick lines, warm colours, characters have large heads, etc. I didn't really have any drawings or examples of my own so I found something in the ball park to try and help out. I have listed everything that I need for the game, I'm willing to discuss additional work.
