We want to create a coloring book for children to teach them about the different stain glass windows, statues, and paintings found in our Shrine. Total of 47 B&W illustrations. For the cover, one of the B&W drawings needs to be colored as if by crayons. I can provide high-resolution photographs of each item in the Shrine. Because most of the items are high in Shrine, many photos will need to be parallax corrected so they are all illustrated from a straight-on view without distortion. And similar items (i.e. stain glass windows, images, etc.) need to be similar proportioned and sized when completed.
The book will be 8-1/2" wide by 11" tall. We are seeking the illustrations only, we will format and layout the pages. We will use InDesign for layout so the final vector files need to work with InDesign, preferably Illustrator. If you're a freehand artist, you will also be considered if your final work can properly reproduced for printing (450dpi or greater).
You will see by the photo samples that there are a lot of details in the paintings, statues and stained glass. We want to see much of the detail and not a simple cartoon look, so skillful use of line weight, grey-scale lines, and line hierarchy is important to us. You will also see that 24 of the items are stained glass windows, so most of the line work is present in the item (except horizontal structural mullions need to be removed).
NEW NOTE: Check this webpage out below I found tonight. It's the style we are looking for, heavy line weight around individual items and lighter hatching patterns allowing the pages to stand alone and tell a story even when not colored.
Thanks for considering our project!
