**I have updated the images to include a reference for the dress- the very last image in the attachments**
We would like you to design our character who will appear in a small product information booklet included with our toy (age range 3-8 years old) and give me a simple set of illustrations of her and her accessories (dandelion flowers). The images will also be used on the website and could also be used on the packaging of the product.
I would like the images on a white background please.
Our character is a beautiful vintage style fairy- simple features. Innocent and childish- not sexy like disney fairies- vintage in style- old fashioned long dress or flower inspired dress (images of my interpretation of our character along with flower inspiration and dress style attached). She has butterfly wings (see attached photos for styles of wings- wings to be yellow or include yellow like dandelions). She is racially ambiguous- olivish skin (or just not obviously white) and brown hair. Her dress is pink- maybe pink ombre fading to white at the top.
We will make a little felt doll (as an accessory to our toy) from our character.
This website can give you an idea of what I mean by 'vintage' in style- Please do not copy these designs they are just as a reference for what the 'style' we like and what we mean by vintage. Thank you.
A pinterest board of 'vintage fairies' for reference-
IMAGES WE NEED:
1. We would like you to draw our character holding onto one of the pieces of the dandelion that is flying away. She is letting the dandelion take her away in the breeze. Soft, open pose and tranquil/sweet/happy facial expressions. Dainty feet and arms. I have attached my own sketch of how this pose could look- this image is NOT the dress style we are looking for- please only use this image a s pose reference (again, I am (clearly) not an artist!)
2. We would like a simple but beautiful DANDELION GARDEN image where our character would live. We have included a beautiful stock photo of our inspiration (but again we would like simple designs on white back ground). We like the grouping of the closed and open yellow dandelion flowers on the stock photo but I would also like to include the white fluffy dandelion flowers (the ones that kids blow on and they float up into the air like the one our character is floating away on). We also like the pink out of focus flowers. Can you please also include a butterfly in the garden- about to touch down on one of the flowers perhaps- in the same style as our Fairy character's wings. We have attached our own sketch of how the simple dandelion garden could look. We hope to be able to use this image as a whole but also break up parts of it/different groups of flowers for different use and highlights on our website and packaging.
ALTHOUGH we will be using these images separately (and also broken up) it's ok to put them all on one page- so the dandelion garden below our character floating away into the sky on her dandelion petal.
The stock photo of the dandelion garden also gives you an idea of the colors we are looking for in our character and in her (simple) garden (but on a white background).
We have included some images of flowers (non dandelions) drawn on white backgrounds to show you the styles of drawing/watercolors that we like NOT the flowers (we only want dandelion flowers along with a few tiny pink flowers just to add some color to the garden). We have also included images of dandelion flowers in various forms so that you know what we are talking about.
Included attached images- PLEASE READ THESE DESCRIPTIONS so you understand what we want and why we included each of these images-
1-5- Our sketches of our (rough) vision of our character including colors (image 5)
6- Flowers for DRESS SHAPE inspiration (not for the garden)
7-9- Butterfly wing inspiration (not too much black though)
10- 'open pose' for our character on the dandelion petal (this is NOT the dress we want this is just for pose)
11- Our inspiration for the dandelion garden
12- Our interpretation of how it would look- approx layout and simplicity of the garden (the funny balls on the left hand side are the fluffy dandelion flowers). Also include the small butterfly detail to match fairy's wings13-15- Styles we like. (watercolor?)16-22- Dandelion examples, Dandelion fluffy petals flying away (for the fairy image) and also examples of how dandelions (the white fluffy flower) can be shown on a white background
23-24- Color reference for the dress of the fairy. Our toy is a soft candy pink with white. She needs to match our toy (or at least be within the range of matching)
