The audience for this application is people who go on road trips: families, retired couples, young couples, a group of friends. They enjoy the feeling of the open road, driving long distances, the journey.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I need an icon for an iOS application (Universal, for iPhone and iPad). The application is called Road Sign AU. It's an app for finding places, toilets, cafes, fast food outlets, service stations, etc along the route of a road trip. It's different to other apps because it will only display a facility that is very close to the planned route (i.e. within 500 metres). When you're on a road trip, you want to know what's coming up that is on your path.
The main view of the app is visually modelled on an Australian highway sign, commonly seen on the side of the road telling you how far it is to the next few towns.
This version of the app is for Australian roads only, so an Australian-ness in the icon would be good. The icon may become one of a series for other countries though.
The icon should be provided in 512x512, 114x114, 72x72, 58x58, 57x57, 50x50, and 29x29 pixels, in TIFF and PNG formats (sizes are specified here: http://developer.apple.com/library/…ndex.html).
