New app icon for iVote
Check out E2driver_99's Icon or button contest…
iVote is a new voter initiative to help better educate and connect voters and their representatives.
What's your vision?
We are looking to have an icon designed for an application designed to keep voters better informed and engaged in the political process. Icon must be of a shape and design that will pass submission for the Apple App Store. Specifically, we are NOT looking for a design that uses the "V" as a checkmark, which is over done. ANY idea that embodies the iconic representation of an empowered voter will be considered. One idea that we have had is a stylized representation of Norman Rockwell's "Freedom of Speech" which I have included in the image section. The challenge is to try and keep the power of the image of the individual standing up to be heard in a town hall meeting while stripping it of the detail and framing it for use in an icon. Not sure if it can be done. I have included a very rough concept in the images as well. As for style, fond of the stlye used by Pixar in the credits of the "Incredibles". Some images of this included as well.
An "i" and "V" embedded in the design is appropriate, but do not want them to be overt. For example, in our very rough design the "i"can be imagined as the individual standing and we have thought about casting the "V" as a negative image formed by the crowd around him.
