Fun dating stories in Japan, focusing on mixed couples. Non-fiction.
What's your vision?
Lily is an American girl in Japan. She dated many Japanese guys. She noticed that they always say the same thing: "There's something I want to tell you." When this happens, Lily wants to run away. Why? Because she knows that the guy is about to confess his love. It's always such an awkward moment... This book is a collection of interviews about multicultural dating in Japan. It's a fun book that you can relax and enjoy! Since the title "There's Something I Want to Tell You" is what Japanese guys say, I think it would be a good idea to have a Japanese guy saying this on the cover. And maybe a western girl listening to this. But I'm not sure about the girl. I attached an image (cover 1) that is similar to what I am looking for. The subtitle "True Stories of Mixed Dating in Japan" is very important (maybe more important than the title) because, without it, you have no idea what the book it about! So it should stand out, especially "Mixed Dating in Japan" part. The title and subtitle text should be readable, especially as a thumbnail on Amazon. Big sans-serif fonts are recommended. I attached another image (cover 2). It's a good example of a fun cover image. I'd like to use pop illustrations instead of photos. ---- Project Specifications ---- Title: There's Something I Want to Tell You Subtitle: True Stories of Mixed Dating in Japan Author: Yuta Aoki Delivery File Format: Photoshop PSD or Illustrator AI (CS6 compatible) Publishing Formats: Createspace (5 x 8 Cream paper) and Amazon Kindle Dimensions: Width 0.125" + 5" + 0.5" + 5" + 0.125" = 10.75 (Bleed + Back Cover + Spine + Front Cover + Bleed) Height 0.125" + 8" + 0.125" = 8.25" (Bleed + Trim Height + bleed) (Createspace specifications can be found here: https://www.createspace.com/Products/Book/CoverPDF.jsp file:///D:/Dropbox/Dropbox/00projects/dating-in-japan/books_diyspec_v1_1409753378501.pdf Page52-55) *There will be about 200 pages but I'm not sure yet. Book Description (temporary): Nadia met her fiancée on the dark street when he approached in a car. Jay met his first Japanese girlfriend at the gate of the US base. Charles met his wife when he barely spoke Japanese. Sabina's Japanese husband "knows her body." Tomoko's American ex-American located her new address and showed up unnoticed. James met her girlfriend when he saved her from a robber. In this book, you will peek into the private lives of people from all over the world who are dating in Japan. You will be surprised how they have crazy, beautiful, and heartbreaking stories. If you are interested in dating someone Japanese, this book will offer indispensable lessons they have learnt from years of experiences, combined with author's insight as somebody born and bred in Japan.
