Practical Guides
Here's my introductory information for my books:
I’m the creator and primary author of the Practical Guides series of
how-to books. I help explain complicated things to people in a fun and
easy-to-understand way. I believe that life is a bowl of fruit loops
and that things don’t have to be so complicated, although I suppose
excessive techno-jargon keeps lots of well-intentioned lawyers in
business.
There’s no need to feel ignorant or shy when you’re embarking on
something new. We’ll help you feel comfortable and acclimated in no
time at all.
If you want to learn about the world of guns, shooting and the
American way, check out some of my books. Have a laugh or two. Life is
too short for boring stuff.
More detailed information on the whole book series and general tone is
here: http://insanelypracticalguides.com
I currently have books called "Insanely Practical Guides." I want to
rebrand the book series to just "Practical Guides." Although this
project is for one book, "The Practical Guide to Gun Holsters for
Concealed Carry" I want to develop a standard "Practical Guides" look
that will be applied to the other books in the series at a later date.
So I am looking for a standard "Practical Guides" treatment that would
be the same on all my book titles, but I want a complete cover design
for "The Practical Guide to Gun Holsters for Concealed Carry."
I have plenty of good custom photography, so if design ideas include a
photo, I can easily include that, so the design would just need a
placeholder notation.
I'm also looking for just the basic structure of cover design,
primarily the front cover. I will supply all the descriptive text for
the back, photos, etc.
I currently have a home made book cover that I am uploading here. It is branded "The Insanely Practical Guide to Gun Holsters" but I want to rebrand it with a new look to "The Practical Guide to Gun Holsters for Concealed Carry” where “Practical Guides” becomes a standard graphic element across all my books. Think of it like the “For Dummies” series and how all the books on different topics have similar look and feel.
